We seek to:
A Welcoming, Inclusive Community –
A small but faithful core group, joined frequently by others or by occasional visitors, meet at 5pm each Sunday evening for eucharist together ‘in the round’, in outline form, where all are welcome whatever their state. The spirit of our worship is unencumbered, accompanied by beautiful music on organ or flute at different points, without a sermon but with time for reflection on the meaning of the gospel when people are invited to explore their issues or questions in an atmosphere that is alive, frank and thoughtful.
Those who gather include professional people, those who are disenchanted by the institutional church, those who struggle with life through disability or illness or who are troubled in body, mind or spirit - those who want to be accepted as they are, to belong, to search out their questions and deepen their faith.
Afternoon tea is provided at 4.30pm each week before the service for a time of hospitality and social interaction.
- be a welcoming, inclusive community, enabling people to find meaning in exploring the gospel together
- sustain an Anglican presence in the centre of Fairfield
- connect with those within and beyond the parish community through a variety of ways that call on creativity, social concern for others and reflection on faith and life.
